Practice sessions & performances

Practice sessions:

Musical performances require consistent practice to make concerts a success. We enjoy meeting regularly to let our love for music blossom and to prepare professionally for concerts.

Saturdays 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at 37 Larchmont Rd.

Performances:

There’s no better reward for our hard work than applause from the crowd. We have put on quite a few concerts over the years and are always tickled to see how excited the audiences get.

We have expanded and renewed our program!

Jazz and Pizza Sunday

Our first meeting was a great success! Thanks to all who came out and supported our mission.

Composer and pianist Bill Gerhardt, bassist Mike Holstein, and drummer Justin Watt demonstrated their skills as a professional jazz trio. Afterwards, they were joined by several young people who sat in for a rendition of C Jam Blues. Trumpeters, a saxophonist, a bass guitar player, a lead guitar player, and a tuba player joined the band. The jam was great and the solos were lots of fun.

Many ideas about Youth at Jazz were contributed by the young people in attendance. We are off to a great start!
